María is a native of México who graduated from UABC Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, México with a degree in Tourism Law. She has spent her 16 + year career as a Spanish Teacher and Interpreter. María lived in the Seattle area in the late 1990s and early 2000s working as an interpreter and teaching Spanish to both young children at Evergreen Academy and continuing education for adults at Cascadia Community College. For the past 10 years, her family has lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she continued working as a medical interpreter and translator, and also teaching Medical terminology in Spanish for health care providers. María and her husband recently relocated to Mercer Island and she is excited to be teaching preschool again. Maria is married and has two sons and a daughter.
